We're gradually expanding our NPA footprint in our company. Recently the first user needing the use of Avaya One-X Agent was looped in and the log-in fails. We've had the app configured for some time now but no testers until now.
I have some internal discussions going with the involved teams but wanted to reach out here to see if anyone has any useful tips/experience implementing NPA access to a softphone solution. Of course, Avaya related products would be ideal, but any information would be welcomed.
Morning @AlfaBane,
Is this Avaya app hosted in the cloud or on premises? If it's just the client itself, it may work over NPA but if it's a full soft phone solution then it likely won't work over NPA on its own as NPA's Zero Trust Network Architecture does not support server to client initiated flows. To resolve this, we can look at a few different options including bypassing it from NPA steering if it's cloud hosted or utilizing ZTNA Next which uses Netskope's integrated Borderless WAN capabilities in the same client to support edge cases like VoIP that don't work with ZTNA architecture.
Hello
Â
We are facing the same issue when the users try to authenticate on the Avaya client,
Have you found any solution/workaround?
Thank you!
Hello,
For H.323 or SIP softphones, you should use Bwan clients, as NPA will not accept S2C (server to client) traffic.
So you need a kind of dialer (which is provided by bwan client) which will be provided an IP by the Netskope BWan gateway. This IP will be used by H.323/SIP gateways to send voice traffic (RTP) to the client.
