Question

Intermittent failure to access private apps from the Office

When some users are at the office, every now and then they become unable to access private apps Chrome simply hangs.

When that happens, if they disconnect and reconnect from Wi-Fi, the issue is fixed, until it breaks again after a few hours/minutes.

This doesn't happen when they are working from home.

Hi Nesi10062

On the problem machine, if you do nslookup or PING, did it return IP 100.x.x.x?

I have similar problem before because client was connected with NPA even in office.  You can also see if the Netskope Client Configuration that NPA is ENABLED.

What we did was to block all NPA connections from our network FW since there is no need NPA when in office.  NPA Gateway IP Addresses for VPN Interoperability (netskope.com)

Hope this help

Hi Team,

Facing the same issue as mentioned by @nesi10062, but I have a question regarding blocking the connection of NPA on perimeter firewall while in the office premises.

When we block the connections from NPA, we have to whitelist the Netskope’s proxy IP in the security group of particular app or on the cloud firewall(which is not a good security paractice).

If this is not the way to do what @munster suggested, please suggest another way to establish access of user to private app without going through NPA when in the office premises.

Thanks & Regards

Sahil Thakur
