With the latest Netskope Transaction Events fields, “total-bytes” is now calculated by “cs-bytes + rs-bytes”.
To align with this change, we updated Advanced Analytics Transaction Events fields and the corresponding calculation logic for “total-bytes” as well:
“cs-bytes” is now reflected by the “Bytes Uploaded” field in the “Bytes” group
“rs-bytes” is now reflected by the “Bytes Downloaded” field in the “Remote Connection” group
“Sum - Total Bytes” in Advanced Analytics Transaction Events is now calculated by the aggregation of the two fields above.
The corresponding measures have also been added to Advanced Analytics Transaction Events, which allows you to gauge total bytes in KB, MB, and GB. Please note that the updated calculation logic applies here as well.
For example, “Sum - Total Bytes (GB)” is now calculated by the aggregation of “Sum - Bytes Uploaded (GB)” and “Sum - Bytes Downloaded (Remote Connection) (GB)”
While we are updating our existing dashboards with the updated calculation logic, please reference the sample dashboard attached below to calculate total bytes.
