- As of April 11, 2025, Netskope recognizes Grok xAI as a Cloud Application, but no pre-defined cloud app connector is available.
- Additionally, Netskope categorizes Grok under the 'Generative AI' web category.
- Grok xAI Domains

- grok.x.ai
- grok.x.com
- x.ai
Use Case
Step 1: Create a custom application for Grok.x.com
Go to >>> Netskope UI >>> Settings >>> Security Cloud Platform >>> App Definition>>> Cloud & Firewall Apps >>> New App Definition Rule >>> Cloud App
Select universal connector and Click on “add a new domain” type Grok.x.com and hit the + button and save and apply changes.
Step 2: Create a Real Time Protection Rule to block Grok AI on X (Twitter)
Go to >>> Netskope UI >>> Policies >>> Real Time Protection >>> New Policy >>> Cloud app access.
App: select Grok App created before
Action: block.
Notes: Ensure proper policy ordering for the new Grok blocking policy
Verification
Navigate to x.com/i/grok
Add a prompt
Within your Netskope Tenant, Navigate to Skope IT >>> Alerts.
You will see the grok block alert.
