Hallo

When adding a new Web Access rtp policy the presence of User Alert action depends on the Categories added in the destination.

It sems that not all predefined Categories permits User Alert and so User Coaching popups.

For example MIscellaneous allows User Alert , but Sports doesn’t.

Is there a way or a doc to know in advance which Categories allow User Alert and which not ?

best regards

There’s a bit of nuance here but in general, the respective actions that are available are driven by a combination of the category, application, and activity that are selected.  In general, every category supports User Alert as it’s not the category, but the activity that drives whether this is available.   You’re seeing this particular behavior because the Sports category also has cloud apps that support additional activities that don’t support User Alert:

Miscellaneous has smaller set of activities that all support User Alert:

The activities per category are driven by the hundreds or thousands of apps that might fall into that category.    You’re seeing this when you use top level categories.

That being said, it’s usually possible to get the User Alert for Browse, Upload, Download and other activities.  So for example in the Sports category, User Alert is available if you select activities that support it such as Browse, Upload, Download, etc:
