On-Premise Detection: status data for "remote" vs "on-premises"

Why sometimes on-premise detection shows “remote" and sometimes it shows “off-premise” when users are not in intranet, such as office environment.

We confirmed it is a terminology change after R129 according to Support.

After R129, Netskope is using off-promised, and before R129, remote was used to present user are on Premise.

VPN is a likely suspect.

 

If the NSclient can satisfy the on-prem check via VPN it will show as on-premises.
