Cursor is not working properly due to SSL decryption

We are experiencing an issue where Cursor AI traffic stops working when routed through Netskope with SSL decryption enabled. Specifically, the Cursor agent fails to function when traffic is inspected via Netskope.

For security reasons, we do not want to bypass or exclude the Cursor AI domains from inspection. We would like to understand if there is a recommended solution that allows Cursor to function properly without bypassing SSL decryption.

Could you please advise on:

  • Any best practices for handling similar AI/agent-based applications under SSL inspection

As part of our troubleshooting, we attempted lowering the HTTP version to 1.0. While this has resulted in partial functionality for some users, the issue is not fully resolved and the agent remains unstable.

I’m currently using Cursor AI on macOS with Netskope and SSL inspection enabled, and it is working without issues. and Cursor is officially supported by Netskope.

It might be worth checking if there are any differences (e.g., steering or policies) that could be affecting the behavior in your case.

We are facing a similar issue on Cursor Native App with Netskope Client v135 (Windows). While another user with version 132 (Windows) is working fine. Both have same policies (SWG and SSL DND). While testing, even SSL bypassing the domains did not work. Could not degrade the version as auto update updates it back to 135. Not sure if this is related to client version.

Currently we have case with support for troubleshooting further.

I’m currently able to use it without any issues on my side.
Glad to hear that the support team is already engaged and helping with the troubleshooting.
