Hear from our Product Management and Product Adoption leads as they cover the latest platform updates from Release 109, 110, and 111. A recap of some of the questions asked during the session can be found below, feel free to comment and continue the discussion!

Key product updates:

  • Advance constraint support for ChatGPT and Endpoint API support for Open AI
  • Complete GCP API coverage with deep visibility for 140+ GCP services across all API activities with comprehensive instance awareness across all the services
  • DLP incident management API to help retrieve incident details as well as original file
  • IPS protection for malicious traffic communicating over non-web protocols
  • Optimize customer WAN usage by rate limiting bandwidth hogging applications
  • Prevent sensitive data exfiltration via Zoom in-meeting chat messages

Q: For the bandwidth controls discussed, like for Youtube traffic across IPSec. Do we have similar controls/capabilities with BWAN / ZTNA NEXT?

A: Yes, we can set rate-limit for specific apps outbound from branch, like YouTube.

Q: Netskope can inspect HTTP protocol, what about Microsoft BING? They use secure web socket protocol (wss). Does Netskope have capability to do the DLP on BING?

A: Yes, using the Netskope policy you can perform DLP over Bing. This can be achieved by setting up a real-time policy and selecting the desired activity you want to use and respectively mapping with desired policy action. The intelligence of Bing AI is already pre-baked within Microsoft Bing connector and can be used today. As Bing uses websockets, we are in the works to support the same. Also, this will not block all of the policy action, but only a few. Refer here for more information

Q: For URL categorization, do you need to have SSL inspection enabled?

A: We can categorize simply based on domain and that does not require any decryption.

Q: Is the source+egress IP combination on RT policies an 'AND' operation?

A: Yes, it is "AND".

Q: Do you have any capabilities to secure GenAI applications?

A: We have continued our effort to support capabilities to secure GenAI apps. Some of the capability additions in this quarter include:

  • Advance constraint support for ChatGPT: Upload, Download & Copy
  • Endpoint API support for Open AI
  • New GenAI connectors supported: OpenAI & Github co-pilot
  • Support for Linkedin & Bing AI - Post activity

Q: Are there any current plans for a native Chromebook app to provide better / more stable support? The only option we had was the Android app. We had to stop using it as it was causing too many issues.

A: I believe you are referring to Netskope Private Access (NPA), it's on the radar, we are exploring options with Chrome extensions and beyond. No ETA at the moment.

Q: Do you have plans to add a search function on the Custom URL Lists section where we can search for a URL and it would find which Custom URL Lists contain the entry? (Similar to the recent addition on the SSL Decryption section).

A: URL list lookup for a URL will be available via API by the end of Q2. We don't have a date for UI availability yet.

Q: How long is SSL Decryption scheduled for beta, ie, when is the target for general distribution? When GA, does it automatically appear or do we need to ask for a flag set?

A: Target for GA is end of Q1 2024.

Q: When is EPDLP data going to be available in Advanced Analytics? That seems to be a big gap right now.

A: EPDLP Incidents are already available in AA. For EPDLP Events, the current target is Q1 2024.

Q: What was the timeline for Custom/Multiple label support with Device Classification? When is the target for general?

A: Custom label support for SWG is under controlled GA. NPA is targeted for Q2 of this year.

Q: Is the Device Classification GA?

A: Today you can configure managed/unmanaged categories with device classification. If you are asking about custom labels/multiple label support, then it's under development for SWG and NPA would follow after that.

Q: Is RTT NPA generally available now or still beta?

A: Yes, it's now generally available.
