Prerequisite
Netskope SWG and Next-Gen SWG license
Context
The customer may require blocking all applications in the Generative AI category.
This KB article focuses on how to achieve this use case using a Realtime Protection Policy.
Do You Know?
- As of July 01, 2025, there are a total of 1562 Cloud Apps identified under Generative AI category
Configuration
Create a Realtime protection policy
Path: Netskope Tenant UI >>> Policies >>> Real-time Protection >>> New Policy
Verification
- Effective immediately, Realtime Policy will block access to all Cloud Apps and Websites categorized under Generative AI.
- End-user tried accessing Chat GPT, received the below message
