✅ Pro Tip: Check for features relevant to your current configurations.

✅ Features not to miss out!

This section highlights key innovations from the recent Netskope release that can significantly enhance your Adoption and Value Realization journey.

Top Highlights:

1. Standard Features

  • More details in block notifications (Secure Web Gateway): You can now add more details to your custom user notification templates when Netskope blocks or alerts on a transaction. These details help you troubleshoot a block without logging in to your tenant.
  • Credentials stay protected on proxy traffic (Secure Web Gateway): Netskope now removes the Proxy-Authorization header from explicit proxy traffic before it forwards requests to the destination website. This happens after Netskope reads the user’s identity from the header, so credentials are not passed along. This is on by default for all tenants.
  • Faster handling of large files (Secure Web Gateway): Netskope now checks file size early by default. This avoids unnecessary buffering of files that are over the maximum inspection size limit. It lowers memory use and improves performance. This is on by default for all tenants.
  • Your own data classification labels (DLP): A new page lets you view predefined categories and data types and create your own classification taxonomy. This helps you label sensitive data consistently across DLP and DSPM. Customers with DSPM get access now, and other tenants will be enabled automatically afterward.
  • More control over SAML sign-in and re-authentication: You can now assign SAML identity provider accounts to different usage profiles, including Private Access re-authentication. Re-authenticating while still using existing SSO sessions for other sign-in flows, based on your identity provider’s policies.

2. Key High-Value Features

  • Use AI Guardrails without setting up a profile first:You can now send prompts and responses for AI Guardrails evaluation by choosing the categories and thresholds directly, with no profile ID required. This makes it easier to connect AI Guardrails with systems like AWS AgentCore Gateway.
  • Control which languages are allowed in AI conversations: Admins can add a Language Detection category to an AI Guardrails profile. You choose which languages are allowed, blocked, or trigger an alert for prompts and responses. An “Others” option covers languages that can’t be detected.
  • Inspection of long AI responses as they stream (AI Guardrails): Netskope inspects long-running streaming responses from AI applications in real time. It applies DLP, threat, content inspection, and moderation policies without disrupting the user experience. If it detects a policy violation, it ends the session right away.
  • Allow or block traffic by country (Cloud Firewall): You can allow or block traffic by source country and destination country, select multiple countries, and use negation. For example, you can block FTP traffic from specific high-risk countries. You can also combine country rules with users, groups, service objects, and destination profiles.
  • Visibility into Claude Code and Claude Cowork sessions (CASB): Next Generation API Data Protection can now scan Claude Code and Claude Cowork sessions in Anthropic Claude Enterprise for sensitive data and threats. This includes inventory, ongoing and retroactive scanning, and dashboard visibility.

⚠️ Important Changes to Note

  • Classic API Forensic Storage Destinations: Classic API is being deprecated, migrating to Next Gen API is highly recommended.
  • Several Enterprise Browser API endpoints are being replaced: Netskope is retiring several Enterprise Browser API endpoints under /api/v2/nsbrowser/ and moving them to the new /api/v2/nsbrowser/extensions/policies endpoints.
  • Rollout: Deployments take place over a one-week window, so features may not appear in your tenant immediately.

  • Risk Assessment for AI Apps, MCP Servers and Identities (AI Command Center): A unified Risk badge with a confidence indicator replaces separate risk score and verdict values. [add link]
  • General Availability (GA) of AI Guardrails On Demand (Netskope Hosted and User Hosted): A standalone REST API, or a VM you deploy on-prem or in your VPC, that scans AI prompts and Multilingual Testing Support responses in real time. It integrates with API gateways (LiteLLM, Kong, Apigee). AI Guardrails Docs
  • New Prompt Sandbox Feature (AI Guardrails): Test prompts and responses against AI Guardrails profiles and tune confidence levels before deploying policies on live traffic.
  • General Availability (GA) of Agent Action Control (formerly Agent Guardrails): Includes a User Alert action for Human-in-the-Loop Support, so users can approve AI agent actions before they run.
  • Multilingual Testing Support(AI Red Teaming): Adversarial safety testing across 23 languages, with code-switching attacks and side-by-side Attack Success Rate comparison.

Why it matters: Organizations get more visibility into AI assets and agent activity, can test and tune AI guardrails before enforcing them, and can add human approval for agent actions.
